Symbolic Integration

Originally experiments were carried out on this problem without the Steady State selection, and GE successfully found the target integral function Sin(X)+X+X². A comparison of cumulative frequency measures for both sets of experiments can be seen in Figure 4. With Steady State selection 87% of the runs successfully found the solution within the designated 50 generations, whereas before only 22% achieved this.
